COLUMBUS COLLEGE OF ART & DESIGN:
The call for entry has been extended to a new due date: August 27th.
I am going to have multiple artists on diplay in Close Quarters for the duration of Consumption Junction, which is going to be a kick ass art exhibition. It deals with overconsumption and excessive waste in society, and showcases artists that expose or provide solutions for these problems: This is an image of reanim project, a series of "crutches" for broken chairs and furniture created by a design group in Paris: 5.5 Designers. They are sending us these works, and we are going to find broken furniture to apply them to. here is there website: http://www.cinqcinqdesigners.com/

For Close Quarters gallery I'm looking for artists who deal with these same issues to coincide with the show. A link to the post with requirements: http://www.ccad.edu/exhibitionsNews.htm

On a related note: I was surprised to hear that people do not know about the greater columbus green map: maybe you all know but for those of you who dont: Green maps are made for cities all over the world: ours is availible at libraries, rec centers, and metro park nature centers free of charge. They also will be availible at the Opening for Consumption Junction. It has trails, parks, markets, restaurants, and anything "green". beware: the online interactive green map sucks and should not be looked at.
